Where can I get married outside of Zion National Park?
Love the scenery of Zion National Park, but hoping for an intimate and convenient setting outside the gates? The town of Springdale hosts multiple options for your wedding party. Jared and Alyssa choose the Canyon Community Center as their wedding venue and another local favorite, The Spotted Dog, for their reception. With multiple outdoor/ indoor options, the community center may be the answer to your wedding wish list, too! Can you picture yourself under those awe-inspiring cliffs for your wedding photos?
What do I need to know about getting married at the town of Springdale’s Canyon Community Center?
As a wedding planner, I love this venue! This ceremony location is right outside the Zion National Park South gate. It is typically available for groups of 8 to 30 people. Please visit their website for the most up to date rental policies and procedures. You will find rental applications and permits there as well. You can also give me a call and I can walk you through the advantages of this location – 801-556-3301. That’s what I am here for!
The Canyon Community Center is an affordable and accessible venue. Not only is the community center right outside the Zion National Park boundary, but it also has easy and convenient parking for your guests. Your guests will not have to ride the Zion National Park shuttle to get to your wedding location, but you will still get amazing views of the canyon walls. That is a definite bonus!
Besides the beautiful lawn, the Canyon Community Center also has multiple rooms available inside that can be rented individually or together.
You will need to note if you will be providing food or alcohol or if any part of the event will be catered. There is an additional permit required for serving alcohol. This location is ideal for both a wedding and a reception venue.
What other wedding amenities does the town of Springdale offer?
Looking for a place to eat, visit with your wedding party, or even hold your reception? Springdale has several restaurants to choose from depending on your preferences. Here are a few to take note of.
Jared and Alyssa choose the popular Spotted Dog Cafe as the location for their reception. The Spotted Dog is a fine dining restaurant known for its spectacular views of Zion’s cliffs. The outdoor patio is heated for colder times of the year and you may even see a hummingbird or two! The Spotted Dog Cafe offers a more romantic/rustic locale while still embracing the relaxed atmosphere of Zion National Park. Stay up to date via their website for hours and reservations.
Another local favorite is Oscar’s. Oscar’s features Southwestern fare including fish tacos and gourmet hamburgers. It has a fantastic outdoor patio with heated lamps for chillier weather. Family-friendly, but also perfect for adult-only gatherings.
